Michael Simpson | Chief Executive Officer

Michael Simpson</a> | Chief Executive Officer Michael Simpson is the CEO of Caradigm accountable to the company’s Board of Directors. Before being named CEO of Caradigm, Simpson served as general manager for GE Healthcare IT. In that role, Simpson had responsibility for product management, marketing, engineering and service strategies for Qualibria, a groundbreaking clinical knowledge platform. He also was responsible for managing GE partnerships with Intermountain Healthcare and Mayo Clinic. 

Simpson has more than 23 years of domestic and international experience across various market segments, including healthcare IT, telecommunications, media and high-tech industries. Prior to joining GE, he was senior vice president of product strategy and development at QuadraMed Corp. Simpson also held several executive roles at McKesson Corp., including senior vice president and chief technology officer, McKesson Provider Technologies; senior vice president and chief technology officer for McKesson Technology Solutions’ international operations; and senior vice president and general manager, Horizon Clinicals.

Simpson has also worked as a general manager for Unisys and as vice president and general manager at Novell, where he was responsible for the company’s enterprise platform business and Novell India.

Simpson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in management from the University of Phoenix and a degree in design engineering technology from Brigham Young University.

He resides in Washington with his family.

Rich Berner | Senior Vice President of Client Services and Support

Rich Berner</a> | Senior Vice President of Client Services and Support Richard M. Berner is senior vice president of client services and support for Caradigm.

As the leader of Caradigm’s client organization, Berner is responsible for working with his teams to deliver customer value with predictable excellence, as well as for helping to shape the vision of Caradigm solutions.

Prior to joining Caradigm, Berner held various key executive positions at Cerner Corporation where he and his teams delivered results for clients that transformed patient care, often times leading to industry awards for their use of health IT to improve patient safety. He most recently led a number of Cerner’s Agile Business Units and launched emerging businesses. Berner also previously ran Cerner’s Middle East and Africa operations from Dubai and served as vice president and general manager for Cerner’s Academic and Children’s Hospital clients.

Before joining Cerner, Berner was a partner at TechEmpower, a strategy consulting and custom software development company, where he led strategy, client engagements and business development. He joined TechEmpower from FreeDrive where, as chief operating officer, he helped pioneer the online storage market, growing FreeDrive’s customer base to 15 million customers. Berner began his career as a software engineer at Tellabs, the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, and Internal and External Communication, Inc., leading consulting engagements that improved performance and increased revenue for Fortune 500 companies.

Berner graduated as an Evans Scholar from the University of Illinois with a Bachelors of Science in Teaching of Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics.

He lives in Seattle with his family.

Tami Lamp | Chief People Officer

Tami Lamp</a> | Chief People Officer Tami Lamp is the Chief People Officer at Caradigm responsible for leading human resources.

Lamp was previously senior HR director at Microsoft, where she was responsible for leading employee and manager training and development programs globally. Prior to that role, she led the HR function for Microsoft’s Developer Division in the Server and Tools Business, which included supporting the India and Canada Development Centers.

Before joining Microsoft, Lamp held a variety of HR positions in organizational development, compensation and benefits, and staffing at JP Morgan Chase & Co., Starbucks Corp., HomeGrocer.com and WRQ.

Lamp has a master of industrial and labor relations from Cornell University, a master’s degree in aeronautical sciences and business administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and a bachelor of science from the University of North Dakota.

Lamp was raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, and lives in Washington with her spouse and two daughters.

Nigel Mason | Chief Operating Officer

Nigel Mason</a> | Chief Operating Officer Nigel Mason is the chief operating officer of Caradigm.

Mason previously served as director, Commercial Centre of Excellence of GE Healthcare, leading GE Healthcare’s Commercial Transformation since 2009, and was tasked with re-engineering the company’s global commercial structure, processes and tools. Over the course of 18 months, Mason developed the role to include building and leading GE Healthcare’s Commercial Centre of Excellence to sustain and build on the achievements of the two-year commercial transformation.  Prior to that role, Mason led GE Healthcare’s U.K. business and was also the company’s global leader for Public Private Partnerships. Previously he also led the International Healthcare Projects team. Mason started his career at GE in product development and later moved into product management roles in Nuclear Medicine, as well as into Services Marketing. In a series of commercial and services leadership roles in Northern Europe and internationally, he was based in Paris and Brussels.

Mason joined GE in 1986 from the U.K.’s National Health Service and has 29 years of experience in the healthcare sector. He holds a master’s degree in radiation physics from University College London and a bachelor’s degree in biophysics from the University of York.

Born in Cheltenham, England, Mason is married and has two children.

Warren Ratliff | Senior Vice President and General Counsel

Warren Ratliff</a> | Senior Vice President and General Counsel Warren Ratliff is the senior vice president and general counsel of Caradigm.

Ratliff previously served as chief counsel and business development leader at GE Healthcare Knowledge & Connectivity Solutions, where he supported the development and commercialization of GE’s Health Information Exchange and Qualibria product lines, while also working with some of GE’s established healthcare software businesses.

Ratliff has focused his career on technology businesses. After law school, he joined and eventually led the Intellectual Property & Technology practice at a firm in Nashville, Tenn. Later, he helped found a logistics technology venture and served as chief operating officer.

In the past decade, Ratliff has held a variety of senior business and legal positions in healthcare IT, including several leadership roles across provider and payer divisions at McKesson Health Solutions.

Ratliff holds a bachelor of arts in political science and history from Duke University and a juris doctor degree from Yale Law School.

He lives in Washington with his wife and their three sons.

Lauren Salata | Chief Financial Officer

Lauren Salata</a> | Chief Financial Officer Lauren Salata is the Chief Financial Officer at Caradigm.

As CFO, Salata leads global finance, accounting, sourcing and treasury activities, as well as playing an integral role in developing company strategy with the rest of the leadership team.

Salata most recently served as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for Care Innovations, an Intel and GE company, where she was responsible for finance, accounting, treasury, corporate compliance and internal audit functions.

Prior to Care Innovations, Salata spent 14 years at various GE businesses. Her last role with GE was Chief Financial Officer of GE Rail Services, leading the global finance function and managing key business levers for their full service rail equipment leasing business. She served in various financial leadership positions at GE Corporate, GE Capital and NBC Universal where she oversaw financial and accounting functions, including the consolidation and reporting for GE's annual operating plans and long term planning sessions. Salata was a 2002 graduate of GE's Experienced Financial Leadership Program. Prior to joining GE, she began her professional career in the audit department of Deloitte & Touche.

Salata received her Bachelor of Science in Management and Accounting at Tulane University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

She resides in Seattle, Washington with her husband and young daughter.

Dr. Brandon Savage | Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Senior Vice President of Product Strategy

Dr. Brandon Savage</a> | Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Senior Vice President of Product Strategy Brandon Savage, MD, is the chief medical officer (CMO) and senior vice president of product strategy of Caradigm.

Savage previously served as the GM of global product management and CMO for GE Healthcare IT. In these roles, he was responsible for building and executing product strategy across the portfolio. Dr. Savage also was responsible for working with the healthcare community to establish and drive GE Healthcare’s IT vision into current and future business strategies. He led clinical excellence and was GE’s thought leader for Qualibria, the clinical knowledge platform resulting from the strategic partnership between GE Healthcare and Intermountain Healthcare. Savage was a leader in GE’s push to support Accountable Care Organizations and meaningful use with clear ties to GE’s healthymagination campaign — all efforts to drive down costs and increase quality. He also served as a pivotal leader for the Healthcare IT Product Strategy.

Before joining GE, Savage practiced internal medicine and served as an assistant professor of medicine at the University of California, San Diego, with a focus on clinical trials, patient safety and residency training. During this time, he co-founded Intensive Solutions International, which developed software for managing patients in intensive care units.

Savage has a bachelor of arts from the University of California, Berkeley, in molecular cellular biology and a medical degree from the University of California, San Diego. He has published several papers in industry journals, including Physician Executive, American Journal of Kidney Diseases and Current Opinion in Critical Care.

Dr. Savage and his family reside in Washington.

Steve Shihadeh | Senior Vice President of Global Sales

Steve Shihadeh</a> | Senior Vice President of Global Sales Steve Shihadeh is the senior vice president of global sales for Caradigm.

Shihadeh was previously general manager of North American sales and field operations for Microsoft’s Health Solutions Group, where he was responsible for the group’s relationships and business with providers, life sciences companies and other health organizations in the United States and Canada. 

Prior to joining the Health Solutions Group, Shihadeh was general manager of Microsoft Health & Life Sciences, where he led his team to recognition as the company’s top industry subsidiary. Before joining Microsoft in 2003, Shihadeh led North American sales and services while senior vice president of sales at Siemens Medical Solutions.

Prior executive-level healthcare industry appointments include vice president of customer operations for Shared Medical Systems, and general manager of Healthcare Data Exchange, an innovative electronic information exchange services company.

Shihadeh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Shippensburg University. He is Chairman-Emeritus of the Board of the United Way of Chester County, PA.

He and his wife have two daughters and reside in Malvern, PA.

Neal Singh | Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Engineering

Neal Singh</a> | Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Engineering Neal Singh is the chief technology officer and senior vice president of engineering for Caradigm.

Singh has spent more than 20 years working in enterprise business applications and previously served as the general manager, global development, for Microsoft Dynamics AX. In this role, Singh was responsible for leading a globally distributed enterprise resource planning (ERP) engineering organization for Microsoft Dynamics AX across the Global Development Centers in Redmond, Wash.; Fargo, N.D.; Copenhagen; Moscow; Shanghai; and Sao Paulo. Singh joined Microsoft in 2001 as director of Development and has held many R&D leadership positions, including product unit manager, director of Engineering Services and general manager.

Singh has a degree in electrical engineering from India and a master of business administration from Phillips University.

He lives in Washington with his wife and two children.

Mike Willingham | Vice President of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs

Mike Willingham</a> | Vice President of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs Mike Willingham is the vice president of quality assurance and regulatory affairs for Caradigm.  

Willingham most recently served as senior director of quality & regulatory for the Philips Healthcare Ultrasound business, where he was responsible for managing the quality systems and regulatory certifications for five factories in the US, Canada and China.   

Willingham has several years of experience in the medical device industry, with roles in Q&R, R&D, HR and International Business. Prior to joining Philips in 2006, he worked for Medtronic Emergency Response Systems where he held positions as the vice president of international business operations and vice president of quality and regulatory.   Willingham is an engineer with expertise in safety, reliability and quality engineering principles.  He chaired international (IEC) and national (AAMI) medical device standards committees for electromagnetic compatibility, external defibrillators and pacemakers. He has been an active member of several industry groups including AAMI, AdvaMed, ASQ, IEC and NEMA.   

Willingham received his bachelor of science in electrical engineering from the University of Mississippi.  

He resides in Bellevue, Washington with his wife and family.
